This means that we are committed to operating in an open and transparent manner and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including providing our customers with up-to-date information about our collection and use of personal data.
Electrolux is a global company that operates through various local companies (together the “Electrolux Group”, “we” or “us”). Our products include household appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, hobs, ovens, dishwashers, washing machines, air purifiers, water heaters and smaller appliances such as vacuum cleaners, blenders, coffee machines and accessories. Some of our products are connected via our applications (Apps) that allow you to manage and control the appliance. We also provide spare parts for the appliances, technical support and customer care. The Electrolux Group’s main brands are Electrolux, AEG and Frigidaire.
We care about your privacy and the protection of your personal data. We are committed to providing transparent information about our collection and use of personal data to our customers and other individuals that interact with us or who may have a relationship with an organisation that we interact with.
Please note that our relationship may also be regulated in separate agreement(s), including by any applicable Terms and Conditions that apply for the respective product(s).
We encourage you to read our Data Privacy Statement which details, among other things, what personal data we process about you and for what purposes. It also summarizes what your rights are when it comes to this data.
DATA PRIVACY STATEMENT
We would like to provide you with information about what data we collect about you (“personal data”), what we use it for, with whom we share it and what rights you have.
The types of personal data we collect:
A) Contact information - such as name, address, phone number, email address, and login information;
B) Information about your purchase of products or services – such as product registration information, warranty information and enrolment status in services;
C) Consumer satisfaction and feedback data - such as the results of customer satisfaction and feedback surveys;
D) Data collected when you are visiting our website - such as data collected through cookies and other automatically collected data to provide you with our websites, or information that you provide us with when visiting our websites (such as through contact forms etc.). E) Data identifying the appliance - such as PNC number, serial number, software version, MAC address, model, colour, etc;
F) Appliance usage data - such as how and when the appliance is being used (frequency and which cycles);
G) Data generated by the appliance itself - such as operating data (e.g., opening and closing of internal valves, heating circuit use and efficiency, oven temperature, motor power, activities driven by the appliance’s software in order to deliver the cycle/function chosen by you); efficiency data (e.g., water consumption, energy consumption); situational data (e.g., conditions surrounding the appliance such as ambient temperature, air humidity, water hardness). H) Data collected when you install and use our applications (Apps) - such as your login information (e.g., email address and password), information about the smart device on which you install the Apps (e.g., operating system), App usage data (e.g., how and when the Apps are being used), diagnostic data (e.g., Apps performance, crash reports, logs, metrics, traces), notification and communication metadata (e.g., push notification delivery status). Depending on your permission, we might also access location data, photos and/or videos, see more information in our section about our connected appliances and the Electrolux App.
How we collect personal data:
- from you or your representative when purchasing your product, registering your product, visiting our website, activating your account, ordering a service, participating in our campaigns, creating a product review, using your appliances or when downloading and using our Apps;
- from our retailers;
- from our third-party service providers, suppliers and partners;
- from publicly available sources;
- from online platforms, e.g. Facebook/Meta, Google, or Apple if you choose to use these platforms to facilitate logging into our websites / Apps.
You may choose not to provide certain types of personal data to us. If you choose to do so, this may affect our ability to provide you with, and your ability to make use of, certain appliances and/or services or their functionalities and features. However, unless otherwise specified, your choice not to provide such information will not result in legal consequences for you.
We may also combine the personal data you provide to us with other information collected online or offline to the extent permitted by applicable laws, including information provided by third parties, and use or share it for the purposes described in this Data Privacy Statement. We may anonymise the information we collect (meaning that it can no longer be associated to you and hence no longer constitutes personal data).

Your consent
Where the processing activity is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The revocation of your consent will however not affect the lawfulness of any processing based on your consent before its withdrawal.
Information that we share
For the Processing purposes set out above, we may share or disclose your personal data:
- As required by law, to comply with legal process and/or to respond to requests from public and government authorities;
- With companies within the Electrolux group;
- With service providers and suppliers trusted to provide services and appliances on our behalf as well as with our partners;
- With a third party in the event of a contemplated or actual reorganisation, merger, acquisition, sale, joint venture, assignment or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets and stock;
- To enforce our terms and conditions; or
- To protect our rights.
When sharing personal data with a third party, Electrolux requires that such third party agrees to protect and handle your personal data in accordance with all legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, or other instructions we provide to them.
Your choices regarding marketing and information
You have certain choices regarding how we use and share your personal data for marketing and similar purposes. Subject to your consent, Electrolux may send you information about appliances, services, events, and promotions. The communication may be sent via different channels: email, phone, SMS and similar mobile channels, post, social networks. We would like to provide you with the best experience; therefore, the communication might be tailored based on the data collected and your preferences. Where required by law, we will obtain your prior consent. You may withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. In most cases you can unsubscribe from messages by following the unsubscribe instructions within the relevant message or update your marketing preferences in your account settings. If you choose not to receive marketing communications, your personal data may still be used for the other purposes described in this Data Privacy Statement, such as communicating with you for administrative or transaction purposes as part of the contractual relationship we have with you or where required by law.
If you have consented to cookies and other technologies for marketing purposes on our websites, your website interactions could be used for defining the most relevant recommendations and offers on websites, in emails and other messages (based on your opt-in for marketing communications).
Social Media Advertising
Meta Custom Audience
To analyse, optimize and efficiently deliver advertising on Facebook, Instagram, and other online channels, we use Custom Audiences from Facebook which is operated by Meta Platforms Technologies Ireland Ltd., Merrion Road, Dublin 4 D04 X2K5, Ireland (“Meta”).
Upon your prior consent we provide Meta for these purposes with a customer list that includes your email address that you provided to us when you registered. When using the Custom Audience feature, your data is locally hashed on our system before we upload and pass it to Meta ("Hashed Data"). Meta is producing a Meta User IDs out of this Hashed Data which is then matched to your Meta data to be used by Meta to create the Audience (see Meta's data protection guidelines for more details). We basically use this feature to display interest-based advertisements to you when you visit the social network "Meta" or other websites also using this tool.
Based on your consent, data may be transferred to a third country outside the EU / EEA that has a lower level of data protection than the EU and that may allow access of state authorities to this data. Meta Ireland transfers European Data to Meta, Inc., 1 Meta Way, Menlo Park, California, and onward transfers may be made to other Meta Sub-processors. As a guarantee pursuant of Art. 44 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), relevant Data Processing Agreements such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-U. S Data Privacy Framework are applicable. See also Meta Data Processing Terms.
We only actively provide Meta with customer lists that include your email address or other personal data with your consent. The legal basis for our processing is therefore Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
If you no longer agree to us providing your data to Meta, you can withdraw your consent for the future at any time via your marketing permission settings.
Further information about the purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Meta, as well as the privacy settings can be found in the Meta’s data protection guidelines. In this context please also note that Meta generally allows you to object to targeting here.
Google Marketing Services
To show targeted messages to users within the Google Network (such as Gmail, YouTube, Google Discover, etc.) we use the service Google Audience from Google which is operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).
Upon your prior consent we provide Google for this purpose with a customer list that includes your email address that you provided to us when you registered. This allows Google to create a profile about your usage patterns on our website in order to display advertisements in a more targeted manner in order to present Electrolux advertisements of interest to users on other apps and websites within the Google Network.
Based on your consent, this information is collected by Google and may be transferred to and stored by servers in a third country outside the EU / EEA that has a lower level of data protection than the EU and that may allow access of state authorities to this data. Google Ireland Limited may transfer European Data to Google Inc., Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. As a guarantee pursuant to Art. 44 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), relevant Data Processing Agreements such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-U.S Data Privacy Framework or equivalent applicable transfer mechanisms are applicable. We only actively provide Google with customer lists that include your email address or other personal data with your consent. The legal basis for our processing is therefore Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent for the future via your marketing permission settings. It is possible, that you can then still see advertisements from Electrolux even if you withdrew your consent or did not consent in the first place, but these advertisements on third party platforms are at random.
Based on your consent we use Google Signals, a Google Analytics feature that provides demographic indicators (Age, Gender, Interests) which are unavailable through standard data collection. These data come from signed-in Google users who have consented to Ads personalisation. Google Signals does not cover users under the age of 18, and no granular “row level” data available, i.e. You cannot access data for a specific user ID or session; only aggregated data is provided to protect user privacy.
If you no longer agree to us providing your data to Google, you can e.g. use settings and opt-out options provided by Google or opt-out via your marketing permission settings.

Your rights under applicable data protection law
If you are located in the EU/EEA, or in other European countries with applicable Data Protection Regulations, or if your personal data is otherwise being processed by an Electrolux entity within the EU/EEA, you have the following rights:
- Request access to your personal data;
- Rectification of your personal data;
- Request the erasure of your personal data;
- Restrict the processing of your personal data;
- Request that your personal data be provided in a format that can be transferred to you or another organisation (portability);
- Object to the processing of your personal data; and
- Lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority in your country; and
- (Only for consumers based in the UK) right to submit a complaint with Electrolux, if you believe we breached your data protection rights.
If you have any questions regarding these rights, or if you would like to exercise any of these rights, you may do so in writing, by phone or via email. Please note that exercising these rights may impact our ability to provide you with certain appliances, functionality or services.
Security of your personal data
Electrolux will take appropriate technical and organizational measures in line with applicable data protection laws, including requiring our service providers, business partners or professional advisors to use appropriate measures to protect your personal data.
Storage of your personal data
We will store your personal data for as long as may be required by law, or as required under any contract. If there is no legal requirement, we will retain information about you only for as long as it is necessary for the purpose/s for which it was collected.
International transfers
As a global company, we may store your personal data in the European Union (EU) or in the European Economic Area (EEA) or other locations where we or our service providers and suppliers are located or have servers.
We may transfer your information between Electrolux group companies or transfer information to our international third party service providers and suppliers acting on our behalf, for the purposes described in this Data Privacy Statement.
Specific information to citizens of the EU/EEA with regard to international transfers
Your information may be transferred to a country outside of the EU/EEA which may not provide the equivalent level of data protection as the EU/EEA. We provide appropriate safeguards and protections for such cross-border transfers as required by law, including the use of Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, Code of Conducts and/or Binding Corporate Rules. FURTHER ABOUT OUR CONNECTED APPLIANCES AND THE ELECTROLUX APP
To supplement the general information in the Consumer Privacy Statement and the information according to Data Act, please find more detailed information relating to our connected products and our applications (Apps) below.
The Electrolux Apps can be used to manage and control your connected household appliances from your smart devices, such as smartphones and some smartwatches.
Via the Electrolux Apps you can also discover and purchase products, accessories and spare parts.
The following categories of personal data are processed in connection with your use of our Apps:
a) Login information (such as your email address, password, or login provider such as Apple or Google
b) Information about the smart device on which you install our Apps (such as OS version / device model, device brand, operating system, machine settings)
We process this data for user authentication, account management, and account security purposes. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of contract).
c) Sensor data related to how your smart device is used and operates, collected to support the core functions, services, and additional features where required.
d) Data identifying the appliance - such as PNC number, serial number, software version, MAC address (access control), model, colour, connection status (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth), machine settings, etc.
e) Appliance usage data and data generated by the connected appliance itself - such as how and when the appliance is being used, performance indicators (e.g., filter status, faults, efficiency), error logs and diagnostic data, maintenance-related data (e.g., parts requiring replacement).
f) Sensor-derived data strictly linked to connected appliance operation– such as environmental readings (air quality, temperature, efficiency), operational sensor data related to appliance function.
We process this data to provide you with the smart functionality requested when registering your connected appliance. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of contract).
g) Notification and communication metadata (data showing how service communications are delivered and engaged with, such as push notification delivery status, App interaction data related to alerts, timestamp and notification preferences).
We process this data to resolve delivery or system issues, based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of contract) and in some cases legitimate interest. We also use the data to send service notifications. If you don’t want to receive push notifications, you can manage this permission via your settings of your smart device.
h) Diagnostic data (e.g., Apps performance, crash reports, logs, metrics, traces)
We process this data to understand how and when certain features of the Apps are being used and how the Apps perform. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the Apps running smoothly by informing us of any issue, ensuring your smart device works as intended.
We use third party analytics providers, such as Google Analytics for Google Firebase and Datadog, to understand how the Apps are being used and therefore to improve the Apps performance and reliability, enhance your experience with additional features, and improve the design, features and functionalities of the Apps or future products. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
i) Logs, feedback, push notification tokens and in-app notifications.
If you authorized us to do so, we will use your shopping history with us and logs of the features you have clicked on to suggest other products or features which we believe you will also be interested in, to send personalized offers or promotions, to request your feedback about our Apps or products, or to send you other promotional messages within the App. The legal basis is your consent, and you can always revoke your permission in Profile > Settings.
Personal data collected in relation to specific functionalities of the Apps:
j) Location data
We might ask you to confirm the approximate or precise location of the smart device on which you installed our App. The data will be minimized and retained only to what is necessary for the purpose. We will request permission to access location such as background location or geolocation for the following purposes.
· Approximate or precise location of the smart device for Wi-Fi scanning during the pairing of your network-enabled appliance with our Apps. The legal basis is performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
· Approximate or precise location of your home to activate functionality triggered by outdoor data (displaying outdoor air quality from nearest monitoring station, pollen mode) where such service is offered. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
· Approximate or precise coordinates of your home to determine electricity pricing zones to schedule use of appliance based on energy pricing where such service is offered. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
· Background location and geofencing to enable automation of appliances based on whether you are close to the connected appliance or not (example: toggle the AC “on” or “off” based on whether you are home or not). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
k) Camera
· Scanning for provisioning (the QR code content is processed locally on your smart device and is not stored by us)
· Scanning information to facilitate use of your household appliance (e.g., care labels or food recognition)
Upon your permission, we use the data to facilitate the use of the App and of the household appliance and to enable functionalities requested when registering your connected appliance. The legal basis is Art 6(1)(b) GDPR.
l) Household functionality
This functionality allows you to invite other users to access the appliance where applicable. If you choose to do so, we will retain the data to enable the multiple users to access and manage the appliance. You can always manage this permission via your Profile > Settings.
We pseudonymize and aggregate the data to improve smart connectivity features. The legal basis is consent or legitimate interest.
We may also share your data with third parties in case you have asked us to. For example, where you connect the Apps to a voice assistant, such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Apple Siri.
We may also share your data with third parties who support us by providing services to you. For example, usage data may be used by third-party affiliate companies in Electrolux markets where repair and maintenance services are outsourced. This occurs when you connect your household appliance to our Apps, including for smart devices that require the Apps to function.
